A typical day at work begins with checking emails to ensure that all accounts are set-up, coded and the links are in place to protect the company from financial, operational and reputation risk.

The most enjoyable part of my job is being a teamplayer and going above and beyond to ensure that the job is done in a timely manner.

I worked there for a long time with the ups and downs. Management was great and lots of good people.

JPM was a fantastic place to work! The training provided to the employees was top notch. It was so good that if JPM is on your resume, getting hired is guaranteed! Chase is a pretty good place to work. I have learned a lot about the mortgage industry. I feel comfortable in my position and have been satisfied with the compensation and daily work experience.

Management was not always good. Company expected more than practical output from people. Culture was poor. Constant ways to save money cost more in the long run. Employee appreciation was poor. A real downgrade when Bank One was bought out by Chase.

On a typical day at work, I would talk to Chase customers and counsel them on our equity loan products. The hardest part of the job is turning down a customer for a loan. The most enjoyable part of the job is approving a customer and helping them achieve their goals.

It is not a difficult job, but there is no work/life balance since working hours range from 8am-8:30pm and work lots of weekends. Advancement does not happen in the time-frame they originally give you, expect to wait another 6mo to a year. When you do get a promotion, work load/responsibility increases significantly and base pay goes up a small amount – more...  that is hardly worth the added responsibility, especially since it takes away time from making the sales you need to keep a steady paycheck coming. The bragged about "Uncapped Earning Potential!" only works in your favor when there is consistent foot traffic in your branch and they don't keep cutting the compensation plan every year. – less

Great place, fast paced. A great company for young professionals to get there foot in the door.

The co-workers are friendly and easy going. The work involved for a vault teller is not back breaking and can be done by anyone willing to learn the ropes. The benefits are better than most company's i have been too. Sometimes it doesn't even feel like work because its that kind of job. The only bad thing is standing 8 hours a day at your computer.

I enjoyed JPmorgan chase, there was so many different things to learn.

Despise branch manager and district manager who do not support employees and only will throw you under the bus so watch your back at all times

i was hired in 4/2007 in Iselin, NJ as a Sr Financial Associate in Finance supporting Subprime Production. I had the most wonderful manger and senior managers in the 1st 7 months. In Nov 2007, my husband had to change job and accepted a position at Bear Stearns (he worked at Credit Suise in NYC). The change was an impact of the subprime mortgage collapse. – more...  Fortunately, based on my performance in the 7 month perod, my senior mgmt approved me to work remotely in CA. Until the change last year that eliminated working remotely and WAH in the Finance Teams. There has been several employees impacted by the change in various states. I've been working on temporary assignments since. the change has been very challenging. my career growth has been halted. i'd have loved to work with JPMC until I retire at age 65 (in 20 yrs), however, there's very limited opportunities in my field (finance/reporting) within JPMC in Irvine/OC. I've been open to change career direction, unfortunately, relocating isn't an option for us within the next 3-4 yrs. Our son is a freshman in college in OC. We'd like to stay local to give him not only the financial support, but the moral support as well.
I love working at JPMC! If here's a next life, I'll do it again! – less

The corporate site that I work for is a great place to learn how the work force operates. It is a great place to be come familiarized with many different cultures all working together as one. The site is clean and is staffed by many friendly operations associates. I have learned many things about working with different people in all their stages of – more...  life. My co-workers ranged greatly and we were always a part of a team that was encouraged to work and grow together. Overall, this is a pretty solid place to work. There are many lunch and parking options available; very close to Milwaukee's lakefront.

Great benefits if you have a strong will to withstand management.

this company has "so-called" values that puts bankers in many ackward situations, training dictates one thing managers dictate another and being ethical goes out of the window just to hit your monthly numbers, pay is great but too much stress, it isnt worth it
