excellent working envirenment
postal delivery officer (postie) (Former Employee), Caboolture,Queensland –
Pros: sometimes you get christmas presents
Cons: flat tyres on postie bikes
Arrive at 4:30am(monday) 5:00 rest of the week, moan about the ammount of mail, turn on the radio, get stuck in, growl ( quite literally) at the office girl for bringing you more mail, get it all thrown in ( streeting),check with the night sorters for second class and parcels, get growled at because they aren't ready for you yet, check registered mail – more...  and sort same, time for coffee. Start setting up mail from frame ( collating and sequencing) collect second class from night sorters and set it up as per first class, collect parcels and set them up.Time to deliver by car and motorcycle. Home by 3:30 to 5 depending on volumes.
I learned patience,co-ordanation,customer relations.
Management were a pretty good bunch for the most part, but only human after all.
Co-workers were(and no doubt still are) a top crew, every one has a great sense of humor. Sometimes this is the only thing that
gets you through the day.
The hardest part of the job is during elections the candidates have to write to every one and his dog.Otherwise I suppose the hardest part would be being the office girl
the most enjoyable part of the job is always customer satisfaction, especially at christmas time. – less

It is a good place to work
Mail sorter (Current Employee), Clontarf –
I love my job cause I know I'm good at it. Also it is not far from where I live.
It is a good place to work.
I learn something new everyday, if it's not the work it's the people I work with
The hardest part of the job is the time we start, 2am start sometimes 12am it really depends how much work we get.
The enjoyable part is, working together as a team.

Productive social work place
Contractor (Current Employee), Ballambi / NSW –
Cons: long hours / no breaks
I leave for work at 4.20 in the morning for a 5am start.
Bring in the creates from the trucks from Sydney...
Separate them (my area of deliveries)
Scan and lodge in the parcels that need to be signed when delivered,
As to the normal parcels.
Load my van....My Co-worker drives the van while i known as (The Runner) then delivers the parcels to private – more...  and Businesses.
When Our area is done we go back into the depot.. and I will then help anyone that needs help..
Most days I don't get home till after 4..(depending
Working a 5 days a week..

I can work long and flexible hours and days... meet new people... We all do get along there are at times some co-workers who are being difficult but i have learn t to get beyond that and communicate more before it becomes an issue..

So work then becomes fun and enjoyable. The hardest part of the job i would have to say.. is I don't get a break... One or two Drivers who I run for might stop to get a drink or something to eat really quick to take with us...

The Most enjoyable part of the job.. the people I work with... and meeting new people.. Some people get regular deliveries.. and they give me xmas cards or a little gift.. etc... – less
